Thanks so much for praying for Liberty Grace Church. Planting a new church certainly requires God's enablement. We need your prayers! We're so grateful for your interest and support.

The Big Picture

Steve Childers, president of Global Church Advancement, reminds us to keep our focus on the main thing: "Does your city exist for your church, or does your church exist for your city?" We need a great vision, not for a great church, but for a great city that has been transformed by the gospel.

Great reminder! As we plant this church, our goal really isn't to build a great church, but to see the community transformed as the gospel takes root and changes lives. Please pray that we'll keep our focus here.

Christianity Explored

Christianity Explored is an informal 7-week course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. Looking at Mark's gospel, it explores who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him.

Christianity Explored is primarily for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity informally with a group of other people.

Thanks to the generosity of a sponsoring church, we will be offering Christianity Explored this Spring. We are looking for a venue and preparing our advertising. Stay tuned for updates.

We've Moved In

As of December 19, we are residents of Liberty Village. Condo living is an adjustment, but it has been a good one. There's no way around it: we need to live here if we're going to plant here.

God answered so many prayers in the purchase of our condo, the sale of our house, and the moving process. It's exciting to live here, and we're looking forward to building relationships with others in the community.

Liberty Village 365

It's a simple idea: I'm posting a picture a day of Liberty Village at Liberty Village 365. It's a way for me to get out there in the community. Liberty Village is creative and technological, so a photoblog just may be a way to build on that.

I've already made one good contact through this project. I have a long way to go to become a great photographer, but it's fun. Check it out and follow the Twitter feed for this project if you're interested.
