It's been a long time since I've sent an update. Here are some of the highlights from the past few months:
We hired a summer student to help us with outreach. Sara-Kate Alchin did a great job helping us organize events to serve our community and to make new connections.
Our new location has been paying off. We have much greater visibility, and have seen a large increase in the number of people attending our Sunday services for the first time.
Ministries are growing. Besides our weekly services, monthly potluck and prayer nights, and outreach events, we've held a weekly women's Bible study this summer, and a weekly men's meeting. We've also hosted a Living Free weekend for our people, and we're holding another one this week.
We are taking some big steps this Fall. We're currently preaching a series on our strategy as a church. You can download a copy of the summary of our strategy here:
We're starting small groups next week, and implementing membership next month. We're also beginning a major new initiative this Fall, which you'll hear about in a couple of weeks.
It has been a busy and rewarding summer. We are grateful that we're seeing growth.
