Are we really ready?
Not just "do we believe Jesus is coming back" ready. Ready in how we treat the people we do life with. Here's the hard truth: being ready isn't only about our private time with God. It shows up in whether we can correct a friend without hurting them. Whether we can sit with someone who feels weak and discouraged and not leave. Whether we can hold on to someone who's still struggling to break free from something that has a grip on them.
This Sunday, we're looking at a passage that speaks right into the everyday stuff of life together; the friction, the discouragement, the slow drifting apart. And it asks us one question: what does it cost us to stay patient with people who is difficult to love? Faith, love, and hope; not just ideas we agree with, but things we actually live out, together.
