Darkness has a way of pressing in, not just on the body, but on the soul. It disorients, it stalls, it steals our sense of direction and purpose. Life can feel heavy with confusion, doubt, or sin, leaving us stumbling and unsure of the way forward.

But God’s Word promises a light that changes everything. From the very beginning, God brought light into a dark world. Through Isaiah, He promised a light that would pierce the gloom forever; a child, a King, the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

This Advent season, we explore the reality of darkness and the unstoppable, life-changing light that comes from God Himself. Discover how His light restores direction, purpose, and hope, even when life feels cold, confusing, and dark.

Join us at 4 PM this Sunday. We meet at 31 Atlantic Avenue.

Please Note:

December 14 — Mark your calendars!
After our Sunday service, we’ll take the joy of Christmas into the streets of Liberty Village through carol singing and we’d love for you to join us! This year, as part of our caroling, we’ll be visiting a community respite centre at 69 Fraser Avenue to bring warmth, hope, and encouragement to their guests. We’ll arrive at 6:30 PM, and the centre will be providing light refreshments, creating a space for conversation and connection. After our visit, we’ll continue caroling through a few intersections in Liberty Village before concluding at Liberty Village Park.

Please RSVP so we can share the number of attendees with the respite centre. Come be part of this festive and meaningful evening of singing, giving, and celebrating the season together!

***Praise God! Thanks to your generous contributions, we were able to raise the required funds for this cause.

Some of you have asked if additional donations are still possible. The answer is yes! There are two ways you can give:

  1. Clothing donations – used or brand new, in adult sizes (men’s, women’s, or unisex).
  2. Shelf-stable / dry food items – if you plan to donate food, please let me know the details by December 10, 2025.

We will also have a donation box at the church, where you can drop off your items.

Thank you for continuing to bless others with your generosity!
