In the moments when life feels unbearably heavy—when pain wraps around us like a fog and suffering seems unending—where can we turn? For those who belong to Christ, the answer is both simple and sure: we turn to the God who has saved us. Not as a last resort, but as the One who has eternally secured us. He is not a distant observer of human sorrow, but our Redeemer, our Father, and the Keeper of our souls. He has called us His own and sealed our salvation through Christ, guaranteeing that even in our darkest hours, we are not abandoned.
It is this assurance of salvation that gives us confidence to lament. Scripture gives us the language of lament not as a sign of weak faith, but as a bold act of trust. In lament, we pour out our grief, questions, and confusion before the One who has already claimed us as His children. We do not cry out in uncertainty, but in the security of our place in God’s covenant. We lament not to be heard by a distant judge, but to be comforted by our saving God—the One we can always count upon, because He has already counted us among His redeemed.
Join us this Sunday at 4 PM as we reflect on God’s response to Moses’ lament—a response that reveals His covenantal promise and offers us the assurance of lasting hope.
We gather at 31 Atlantic Avenue
