This Sunday, we’re stepping into one of the most chilling moments in the book of Exodus, the plague of darkness. For three days, Egypt was swallowed by a darkness so thick it could be felt. No sunrise. No movement. No light. The nation that worshiped the sun suddenly discovered that their greatest god could not save them.
But while Egypt sat in terror, God’s people lived in light.
What was God revealing then and what is He warning us about now?
We’ll explore how the plague of darkness wasn’t just an ancient judgment, but a picture of what happens when any person, any culture, any world tries to live without the true Light. We’ll see how the same God who once said “Let there be light” still shines into hearts today… and how the darkness in Exodus points forward to a future judgment in Revelation, and an even greater grace in Christ.
Join us 4 PM on Sunday as we uncover the God who turns off the sun to expose false gods and the God who turns on the Light of salvation to rescue all who come to Him.
We meet at 31 Atlantic Avenue!
Please note:
December 14 — Mark your calendars!
After our Sunday service, we’ll be heading into the streets of Liberty Village to share the joy of Christmas through carol singing. We’d love for you to join us!
This year, as part of our caroling, we’ll also be visiting a community respite centre to share warmth, hope, and encouragement with their guests. We plan to gift each person a plaid fleece blanket (50" x 60") along with a Christmas card, and we’re hoping to raise $500 to make this possible. If you’re able, we warmly invite you to contribute toward this meaningful act of care.
Donations may be made via e-transfer to info@libertygrace.ca, or by cheque or cash. In all cases, kindly include the word “Christmas” in the memo or envelope.
The respite centre has invited us to arrive at 6:30 PM, and they will be providing light refreshments to help create space for conversation and connection.
Please RSVP so we can let them know how many will be attending.
Thank you for helping us share the love and light of Christ this season!
December 25th- This year, we’re excited to celebrate Christmas together as a church community! We’ll be joining Christie Baptist Church for a combined worship service. Join us at 177 Christie Street at 11 AM.
Regards
Godfrey
