Encountering the Cross (Luke 23:32-49)

The culmination of the ministry of Christ ended with crucifixion. It was the most heinous form of torture of the day. Not only did Jesus endure the torture of the crucifixion, but also the wrath of the Father being poured out on Him. In those moments, He graciously engages a criminal, deserving of the death penalty, with hope. When Jesus seems powerless, a criminal trust Christ for salvation. Jesus can save anyone…anywhere.
