Have you ever admired someone so deeply—perhaps a mentor, leader, or public figure—only to watch them change over time? Maybe they made a choice that disappointed you. Maybe they fell from grace. Perhaps you were inspired by their courage or integrity, and then saw them stumble. We’ve all witnessed it: people who seemed nearly perfect in their decisions, speech, or leadership… faltering. It’s one of life’s sobering realities—no matter how gifted, wise, or influential someone is, they are still human. They are still flawed.

Perfection, when placed on human shoulders, inevitably collapses under the weight of frailty. It’s a hard truth, especially in a time when we long for authentic, trustworthy leadership—at home, in society, in the church.

But there is One who does not falter.

God is not like us. He does not evolve into something better because He is already perfectly holy, just, and righteous. Scripture declares, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne” (Psalm 89:14). God is not only consistently perfect in His character—He is the very definition of righteousness. He is the standard by which all justice is measured.

As we continue to reflect on the kingship of God, this Sunday we turn our attention to God as the Righteous King. .

Come join us this Sunday at 4 PM! We’ll be gathering at 31 Atlantic Avenue.
