Our relationship with God doesn’t begin with our search for Him; it begins with His pursuit of us. Scripture reminds us that “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). Before we could ever respond in faith, God moved toward us in grace. He saw us in our brokenness, called us by name, and opened the door to communion with Him through Jesus Christ.

This truth leaves no room for pride and fills our hearts with lasting gratitude. We are His not because we have achieved or earned our way to Him, but because He reached out, rescued, and welcomed us into His family. Every step we take toward Him is simply a response to the love that has already been extended.

So we remain thankful, daily humbled and filled with joy because our story with God begins not with us, but with His gracious initiative.
