UPDATE: Right now, we're only meeting online. Find out how to join us here.

It can be really hard to walk into a church for the first time. It’s hard to know what to expect. Nobody wants to feel uncomfortable, and nobody wants to feel stuck or embarrassed.

We get it. It’s one of the reasons we’ve started to stream our services. You can check us out before you ever walk in the door. We still hope you’ll come out, though. A web broadcast is good for a first look at a church, but it can’t replace actually being there.

If you do come out, here’s an honest look at what you can expect.

What to Wear

We’ve all arrived somewhere underdressed or overdressed. It’s embarrassing. At Liberty Grace, the dress is casual. Think of what people wear at the typical coffee shop, and you’ll be on the right track.

When to Arrive

Our service starts at 4PM. Arrive anytime after 3:45PM to grab a coffee. You will meet greeters at the door who will welcome you and answer any questions you may have. Make yourself at home.

When You Enter

When you enter, you’ll find yourself in the main seating area for the church. To your left, you’ll find coffee and a book table. Feel free to browse around, or if you’d prefer to just grab a seat, you can do that too.

We try to be friendly, but we also want to give you space if that’s what you prefer. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible.

What to Do with the Kids

Children are an important part of our community. Parents of young children find it easier to sit on the west side of our seating area, near the hallway door, in case they need to slip out of the service. We also have a room, down the hallway, for parents with very young children. You can watch the service there on your phone or tablet with other parents.

Children in primary school are welcome to participate in a program that takes place during the sermon or message. You’ll hear an announcement that will tell you when it’s time.

We want parents and children to feel valued, and to have a good experience. Please let us know how we can help.

Other Details

Washrooms are downstairs. Go out the hallway on the west side of our seating area, and look for the stairs.

Our service usually lasts 90 minutes. I know: it sounds like a long time. It goes quickly!

Feel free to participate as much or as little as you would like during the service.

One more thing: we have a gift bag we’d like to give you the first time that you come to thank you for joining us.

We are honoured every time that someone comes to one of our services, and we look forward to meeting you.
